Character Information
Character Name: Jotaro Kujo
Canon: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Canon Point: After the end of Part 4- Vol. 47, Chapter 439
History: *He's in a lot of parts of the manga, so this is a long read, aha*
Personality:
Jotaro Kujo is a stoic man, first and foremost. The world around him is constantly in a state of chaos, but it really doesn't seem to leech into him. When he was younger, he was known as a brute and somewhat of a criminal, which was never really helped by his tendency to use violence to solve his problems, and a stand that he had simply written off as 'an evil spirit that hurts people around him'. Despite this, Jotaro never really seemed to go out of his way to hurt people, and never really had much of a temper on him, instead sitting at a near-constant state of 'kind of annoyed.
Of course, that was all when he was younger, and while age hasn't really diminished his resting bitchface, it has softened him slightly, more in that he has some more patience with people, and he has some interests outside of 'punching things'.
He has always been known for his quiet intelligence, and his ability to assess a situation, often coming up with creative ways to solve a problem, or at least learning about any given situation rather quickly. This along with his raw strength is what makes people look up to him and follow him rather easily(especially considering his companions are pretty much all over the place all the time, Kakyoin notwithstanding), and he accepts the role gracefully and without getting a big head about it, knowing that he must also rely on his teammates as much as they rely on him.
Because of his tendency to remain calm and collected in any given situation, Jotaro can come across as cold or uncaring. Personally, I lend this to societal expectations of a Japanese man, but I'll not get into all of that here. In any case, beneath his stoic demeanor, he cares very deeply for the people that he does care for, though he has no way of showing it that he is aware of, and thus he can be very awkward around more affectionate people. He also has absolutely no issues with being far away from people for extended periods of time, and it doesn't always click to him that people think he is ignoring them or does not care about them when he leaves them alone.
Jotaro is quite confident in himself. He is not, however over-confident, knowing his own weaknesses as well as strengths, especially by this point. He also has a sense of pride and honor, which leads him to lending his aid to complete strangers- most notably women and children, though if he finds a clear divide in strength, he would stand in for anyone, believing that people who make victims of the weak are evil, and thus deserving of a good, thorough beatdown.
Items on your character at canon point:
His wallet? Probably has some money in it, a driver's license, maybe a photo of his mom, and the photo of himself and his wife.
Abilities:
Jotaro's abilities include his more mundane skills of deduction and his ability to control his emotions, as well as leadership and strategy-forming skills. He's an intelligent and observant man, which often helps him in more difficult battles.
As for his more Jojo skills, he has the Stand, Star Platinum. It has extreme speed, precision, and power at short range, and the ability to stop time for a short period. I will elaborate more on Star Platinum in the following section.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Jotaro is often described as the most powerful Stand-User, with his stand, Star Platinum. All stands are a manifestation of spiritual energy, whose appearances and powers are as varied as the people who use them. For Star Platinum, it takes a humanoid form, looking like a muscular man with purple skin and black hair(The skin can be blue or green as well, depending on the artwork, but I'm going with purple cuz it's my favorite color and also makes me think of Platinum the most), and it can only manifest up to 2 meters away from Jotaro, though it possesses some abilities which reach further out.
Star Platinum is a short-reach, high-power Stand, possessing extreme speed and power at the cost of not being able to operate far from it's user. Jotaro utilizes this mostly in the basic form of being able to punch people over and over and over. The Stand can also extend his arm and middle and pointer finger together in a quick jab. It also has the strength to destroy artificial diamonds and lift Jeeps with 5 people in them.
Aside from his offensive capabilities, Star Platinum also possesses extreme precision, and uses this in tandem with his speed to stop bullets, even at the very moment that they hit him. He's also used this ability to carefully operate on people, mostly to remove flesh buds implanted on two people who ended up as his companions, where they could have died from a more forceful removal. He has also used this precision, as well as the fact that stands manifest spiritually where the user wishes them to, to stop his own heart and then start it up again, and also to start up Joseph's heart after he is drained by Dio.
After the battle with Dio, Star Platinum learned the ability to stop time as well, for a maximum of 5 seconds.
For the weaknesses of Star Platinum- and thus Jotaro's weaknesses- the most prevalent one would be the way that Stand and Stand-User are connected. Any damage done to the Stand will damage the User, and any damage done to the User also reflects upon the Stand, and so a good way to beat Star Platinum is to cause damage to Jotaro, considering the Stand's durability.
Jotaro's more 'personal' weaknesses include his sense of responsibility, which sometimes leads to, or conflicts with his unwillingness to communicate. It isn't just that he's not talkative, but he actively tries to allow others to make their own mistakes, though he will step in if things get too dangerous for them. And of course, on the other hand, he is painfully aware that his stand is, in fact, very powerful, and people not only look up to him, but rely on him, and he takes this to mean that people should never have to be hurt when he is around to care for them. He won't beat himself up for it afterwards, but he will certainly put himself in harm's way for anyone that he feels he should defend, even if it was their own stupidity that put them in such a situation. He always views it as 'it didn't go as bad as it could have, so that was a win'.
On a much more personal level, he tends to strain relationships with a mixture of brutal honesty, and what seems to be disregard. He can keep his mouth shut around Grandpa, sometimes, but people outside of blood relations can find him saying things more bluntly than is necessary, and he's not good at apologies. Nor will he offer one, really. It can limit his pool of potential friends, and while he'd likely never say it out loud, he relies on others as much as they rely on him.

It had been a long time coming, but they were finally on their way home, packed onto a boat, courtesy of The Speedwagon Foundation. Jotaro was quiet, as usual, as Joseph talked at him and talked at the baby. The old man was a talker, that's for sure, but by this point, he'd been around him more than enough to know that, and to know that he could get away with not talking unless he really wanted to. As such, he had just taken up a book, headed inside to sit and read it. This was going to be a long ride, and it was going to seem that much longer if he had to spend it pretending to listen to his grandpa complain about Josuke taking his wallet or trying to find his cane when he was holding it.
It wasn't that he didn't care, really, it was just that the old man had so much to say all of the time, and it was really mostly irrelevant things that he spouted off here or there, and Jotaro never really felt it necessary to justify his rambling with an answer, or even eye contact. It wasn't like that ever stopped him from talking. He only looked up when he distinctly heard his name being called. "Mhh, Gramps. Just sit down already."
He heaved a sigh as his grandfather continued on with his walking and talking. "You are going to tire yourself out if you keep this up", he warned then, turning his head back down to his book. Carrying that baby around, he would end up tired soon enough, and probably end up taking a nap. It was no use arguing for him to settle, however, because Joseph wasn't going to listen to him, and it would end up the way he wanted it anyway.
In due time, he would find he was correct, not that he'd ever doubted it. His grandfather had taken up a spot on a bench, cradling the infant as he had fallen asleep. Jotaro only closed his book when he was sure that he would not be assaulted by the man for another conversation, then standing up and first going to check on the two of them mostly to be certain that the baby was secure enough, and that Joseph hadn't stuck himself in a position where he would be hurt upon waking.
Once he was certain that the two of them were content and safe, he left the cabin to stand on deck, enjoying the quiet and watching the water's surface as they travelled. For once, he was fairly content, the only concern in the back of his mind being that he should probably look over his thesis a few more times once they returned home before submitting it.
